Description
Babu, in his twenties, sees the golden dream to serve his land and people for identity and prosperity. Midst the backdrop of the Assam agitation, he meets Babaji, who transformed Babu into the half-eagle and half-human incarnation of a human-eagle. The human eagles are raising demand for an eagle’s-only sky. Eventually, a dove and a cuckoo fly Babu to the past time where he sees a Burmese general, a British officer signing over a treaty, and meets Purnananda Buragohain- the last greatest official of the Ahom Empire, and Captain Welsh who helps to restore the Ahom Empire in the verge of Moamaria rebellion and manages to survey Brahmaputra valley. Babu discovers how multiple rebellions like the Moamaria rebellion, internal strife with the Darrang kingdom, rulers of Kamrup, Nagaon rebellion, and unruly hired Burkandazes lead to the disintegration of the Ahom Empire, ransacking the golden dream in Purnananda. Anu loves Babu. In search of Babu, she turns into a woman-eagle, and while moving to the past time from the present, experiences the conflict situation emerging due to strife of human-eagles and the conflict among different forms of human-birds. Finally, Babu and Anu unite under a great hollong tree at the top of the Patkai hills. There the treasure fire appears and gives them the path to fulfill the golden dream of peace, unity, and prosperity.
