Anita Damle is Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and a retired Consultant Psychiatrist living in England. She practised in the NHS and in the Independent Charity sector, over 40 years, having arrived in UK in early 70s. She witnessed multiple NHS reorganisations and changing Psychiatric practice.
Outside the medical field, Dr Damle enjoys reading books, drama, music and long walks. She loves sitting on her swing in her beautiful garden in English summers and visiting Pune/ Mumbai in winters.
This is a book describing my journey as a Doctor and Psychiatrist from 1970s to 2020 – a span of 50 years. The world was a very different place then and is now. It’s a story of how an outsider became very much a part of the establishment in half a century.
