Lend a helping hand to first-time writers
First-time writers go through hell while trying to get their book published. Most of the times, publishers don't reply. Even if they do reply, they ask for money - sometimes as much as Rs.3 lakhs - to publish the book. The rationale given for asking these huge and ridiculous amounts of money is that "it is required to do PR of the book without which the book doesn’t sell".
While that is true to a certain extent, it’s not the real reason why publishers demand these huge amounts of money. The moment they get that money, it becomes a risk-free project for them. And then they aren’t really motivated to make the book successful. Many times, the publishers are not able to or do not bring the books in major bookstores even after taking huge amounts of money from writers. On top of that, if the book doesn't sell well, they demand money to stock the books in their warehouses or threaten to burn the copies.
We know all that. Prashant and Satjit have gone through those experiences. And while Mr. Dinkar Gangal didn't go through any such experiences himself, he knows all about it. And that's why he devoted most of his life to helping first-time authors. Granthali Publications, of which he was the honorary secretary for 40 years, has the distinction of publishing a good chunk of books written by first time writers, many of which have gone on to become huge successes. We also have a mission to do the same for English writers. We will help first-time writers turn their dream into reality! That's the main part of our mission and also the main reason why APK Publishers was started.
However, that’s not to say that we will finance all the books of first-time writers from our own pockets. In some cases, we might ask the writer to finance the publication. Please read our acceptance policy for more details.

A very important part of our mission is the commitment to publish world-class books.
While it is very hard to come up with books that will be recognized as world-class for their content, it will always be our endeavour to do so. We publish all types of books: fiction, non-fiction, educational, young adult fiction, and even children's story books. So if you have an idea for a world-class book, please contact us. As far as production quality is concerned, it will be world-class too! We have partnered with Nikeda Arts Printer Pvt Ltd which is a Mumbai-based printing press, known for its on-time delivery and quality while being quite economical at the same time.
Maintain total honesty & tranparency
We will maintain total honesty and transparency in our operations. 3 of our team members - Prashant Karhade, Satjit Wadva, and Mr. Dinkar Gangal - are writers themselves. We know what a book means to its writer and so we will safeguard your interests (as a writer) at all times.

Take the best of Indian literature to the world
We do not want to restrict our books to India only. We want to reach all Indians living outside India, and even non-Indians. That's why we distribute our books through our website outside India as well. So if you are a writer with ideas for books that could appeal to a global audience, we encourage to approach us.
Give better returns to writers
For books that are financed by us, we try to give the best possible royalty. For books that are financed by you, we produce the books as economically as possible and also try to sell outside India, and that enables us to give better returns to the writers.
